2. Coating….

We are talking about the benefits of having a ceramic coating. The longevity of ceramic coatings last years compared to waxes and sealants that must be reapplied over and over.

What is a Ceramic Coating?

IMG_2674.jpeg

Ceramic coatings have three jobs:

1. Long term paint protection

2. Beautiful deep gloss and shine

3. Cleaner, longer as well  as ease of cleaning

Although we as detailers can “geek” out over this kind of stuff we want to give you a simple example of what a ceramic coating is…. Ceramic coatings are like cell phone case/screen protector for your car’s paint! It adds a durable thick layer of Silicon Dioxide (glass) that bonds to the entire exterior of your vehicle’s paint, glass and other surfaces. Not only do ceramic coatings give a depth of gloss to the car paint that is unmatched, a nano ceramic coating is designed to last somewhere between 3-7+ years depending on the coating you choose.

How Does A Ceramic Coating Work?

After the paint has been completely cleaned, decontaminated and our paint correction has created a clear, smooth surface, a layer of liquid ceramic coating is applied to the paint, it’s bulk is buffed off leaving a thin ceramic layer that will fully cure in 24-48hrs. It’s that simple.

After the Ceramic Coating has cured to the paint, it acts like an extra layer of hydrophobic, ultra durable and scratch resistant skin. Ceramics are designed to protect against all the elements that come into contact with the paint from the outside world such as the sun (paint fade), bird droppings, bugs, salt, rain/acid rain, surface scratches and much more. Although monthly or yearly detailing services will keep your car clean and temporality protected, ceramic coatings actually form a sort of shield, protecting your investment until the day it’s traded in which saves you money and increases your trade in value!

Washing and maintaining your car is time consuming and in these busy times, our days off are precious to us and our families. After spending on average $20,000 - $50,000 on a vehicle we watch it lose value and degrade from poor maintenance. We see cars daily in these conditions which is why we feel it necessary to keep your car protected to prevent trading it in for pennies years later.
